Stories that once would seem completely strange and rare are becoming routine — a man collapses from exhaustion after playing a video game almost non-stop for 5 days. He later dies in the hospital. More frequently, teachers describe children who seem to be blurring the line between reality and the computer games that they are playing on a daily basis. Another recent news story in the US described a mother calling the police to come to her home when she failed to convince her son to stop playing an Internet game and get to bed after endless hours online.
